We have just completed a test on a stock 2000 Civic SI fuel pump. At 35 psi, it flowed enough fuel for 400 crank HP. If you increase your fuel pressure to 75 psi on this pump, it can only flow enough fuel for 200 crank HP. This pump has an internal relief valve that opens at 75 PSI to dump excess pressure back into the tank.
So what you say - I'll put in a bigger pump. Some of the Walbro pumps have the pressure relief valve set at 100 psi, and the flow still reduces as the pressure rises.
The specific warning is that if you use rising rate FMUs, you need to know where the bleed valve opens on your pump, and that the fuel pump can supply the volume of fuel at that pressure for the horsepower you want. Not paying attention to this will result in a leaning out and probably a blown engine.
The specific test results are here: http://Hondata.com/techfuelpump.html
Use the information to make intelligent decisions about managing the fuelling for your engine.

whats the price of your stage 2 +boost, and you stage 4+ boost, i'm seriously thinking of getting rid of all this JR Crap, vafc, and getting your unit. Email me some numbers and some reasons why i should switch my setup, also getting rid of the supercharger soon, and getting a drag III, Do you know any tuners in the Charlotte, NC or any other NC area for that matter?

hey mr hondata (doug is your name?) why dont you put together a package deal for people with JRSCs? Not necessarily a group buy, but a package that has everything including a conservative timing and fuel map?
We could send you an OBD1 ecu and you send it back with a nice lil kit to install.
Just a thought.

That's what Doug was trying to accomplish at DSR in Mountain View, California last week. He was testing a civic hybrid JRSC w/ a B18C5.
